Two of the P reg Land Rovers are on the run and one is at Benbecula for servicing, they constantly rotate.

 

The two 58 plate Land Rover Defenders are fitted with Ford 2.9TD engine. They carry 1242 L water, 186 L Foam FFFP  and 58 L Training Foam 3.   They also have 50 Kilos of Monex DP extinguishent and a 5 Kilo Handheld extinguisher.

Minimum crew is 4. The officers work a 35 hour week from 09-00 to 17-00 and the firefighters work a 31 hour week from 8-15 to 16-15.

The appliances sit at 45 degree angles in front of the station during landing and take offs except in weather warnings when they go onto the beach.
