AIRPORT OPENS

Cumbernauld's £2m airport was opened yesterday. It has an 820 metre runway with full services and is suitable for all single and most twin engined aircraft. Leased from Cumbernauld Development Corporation, it will be run by Cormack Aircraft Services, which will provide a range of operational facilities, including cargo and freight.
