Leading Fireman Richard Wishart died on the 5th January, 1946 as a result of injuries received on the 4th January, 1946
During a gale on Friday night, 4th January, 1946 Leading Fireman Wishart was travelling in an NFS covered vehicle when the canopy was blown off the vehicle onto the road taking Leading Fireman Wishart with it. He was removed to West Fife Hospital with spinal injuries and died on Saturday morning.
