Samuel Libbert and William Jackson were killed by falling brickwork at a city factory in Glasgow on the 19th September 1942.
TWO GLASGOW FIREMEN KILLED
BLAZE AT CITY FACTORY
Two Glasgow firemen lost their lives in a fire which took place in a city factory on Saturday night.
One of the victims was Samuel Libert, who had come from Manchester to join a Glasgow station of the national fire service only a fortnight ago, and the other was Walter J. Jackson, who joined the fire service two years ago as a member of the A.F.S., and who resided at 14 Gatehead Street, Govanhill, Glasgow. The two men were struck by collapsing brickwork as part of a wall gave way when the fire was at its height. One of them was killed instantly, and the other died before an ambulance reached a hospital to which he was being conveyed.

I think the name Libert is spelt wrongly in the newspaper report and Jackson's name is William.
