AERIAL RESCUE PUMP
Scottish Fire ands Rescue Service inherited from the former Fife (1), Strathclyde (13) and Tayside (3) Services Aerial Rescue Pumps (ARP) or Combined Aerial Rescue Pumps (CARP). All have 28metre booms. The 08 plates all had a Metal Mickey camera in the cage to send video of the incident to the Forward Control Units and Major Incident Unit but these seem to have been removed by SFRS. All the ex Strathclyde ARPs carry a scoop stretcher on the off side above the hatch ladder which can fit on top of the cage to carry down a casualty. There are no plans at present to purchase any more Aerial Rescue Pumps.
Details of the ones purchased by the antecedent Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service can be found at http://graemekirkwood.co.uk/SFB/ARP.htm
