HEAVY RESCUE UNITS
The HRUs are mobilised to train crashes, Road Traffic Collisions involving heavy goods vehicles, multiple vehicle RTC's, building collapses, any incident of five pumps or more and at the request of the officer in charge of an incident.
There are various types of HRU in the SFRS due to each antecedent service having different specifications.
