MEDIUM WEIGHT RESCUE PUMPS
The Medium Weight Rescue Pumps, MWRPs for short, are on an Iveco Eurocargo 140E25D chassis with bodywork by Emergency One UK. This is a 10 ton chassis.
Amongst the equipment carried is the Weber battery powered cutting gear consisting of Spreader, Cutter and Ram. Hose Reel on either side, eight lengths of hose, foam, attack and defence branches, ground monitor, Turfor, door opener, safe working at height (SWAH) and water rescue equipment, positive pressure fan, portable pump and various hand tools. The BA sets (two on each side are kept on a slide out tray in separate lockers and no longer in the cab. On the roof there is a 135, 105, short extension and roof ladders.
The are compartments for helmets in front of the rear seats but not much leg room.
At present November 2023 18 have been delivered.
