N.F.S. MAN’S 30 FOOT FALL FROM TREE

41 year old member of the N.F.S., David Gold, Houlet Neuk, Duntrune, was
seriously injured yesterday after falling 30 feet from a tree on which he had
been removing crow’s nests.
Accident happened in the grounds of Balgillo House, 30 Claypots Road, Broughty
Ferry. In decending the tree Gold stepped on a branch which broke.
He was admitted to Dundee Infirmary with fractures to both wrists and right
thigh and injuries to his spine.

DUNTRUNE MAN DIES FROM INJURIES
David Gold, Houlet Neuk, Duntrune has died in Dundee Royal Infirmary as the
result of injuries received in a 30 foot fall from a tree on which he had been
removing crow’s nests.
A member of the N.F.S., Gold was 41. The accident happened in the grounds of
Balgillo House, Claypots Road, Broughty Ferry. A branch of the tree broke while
deceased was decending.

Death
GOLD – At D.R.I., on Apr. 24, 1944, (the result of an accident) David
Moncur Whyte Gold, aged 41 years, beloved husband of Marjory Winter, Houlet
Nook, Duntrune. Funeral to Murroes Churchyard on Thursday, 27th.
