Fochabers had a call sign of 47 in Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, this was changed to R45, the new National Call Sign, when the Control at Mounthooly closed on 8/11/2016.
Fochabers were trained in Off Shore Firefighting and were flown to Lerwick in July 1993 to help with a fire on a Russian Factory Ship Chernomorskaya Slava.

FIREMEN’S EVENING OUT.
– The nine members of Fochabers Fire Station held their second annual dinner in
Speybank Hotel, Fochabers, on Saturday evening. They had a thoroughly enjoyable
time with their wives and friends. Sub officer A. Horn was in charge, with
Leading Fireman K. Wiseman and Fireman R. Grant, J. Gregory, G. Stevenson, J.
Tennant, J. Thomson, G. Wheeler and M. Jones.

40-Foot Tower At Fochabers Fire Station
Fochabers Fire Station, at the Market
Green is to be reconstructed on its existing site.
Detailed plans of the layout and plans of the proposed alterations – which
include the erection of a drill hose and drying tower of over 40 feet – we were
approved on Thursday by Moray and Nairn Planning Committee.
