Banchory had a call sign of 92 in Grampian Fire and Rescue Service, this was changed to R36, the new National Call Sign, when the Control at Mounthooly closed on 8/11/2016.
Watch Manager Roddy Lees (Banchory), received his 30-year long service certificate. (16/11/2016)
There is an efficient fire
service for the needs of Banchory and Ternan parish and beyond. The engine is
kept in premises in Mount Street, north of West Church Hall.
