Notes

2000/2001 Unit upgraded to BA Status.

With the new brigade structure introduced in the summer of 2003 the 3 Divisions were re-organised into 2 Commands North and South, Uig was put into South Command. Call signs remained the same.

On 1st April 2005 along with 61 other units Uig was upgraded to a Retained Unit, drilling one night per week and receiving a retaining fee.

Uig had a call sign of B36 in The Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service, this was changed to T32, the new National Call Sign, when the Control at Inverness closed on 6/12/2016 and moved to Dundee.

£1.35m was re-allocated to property for Minor Works Development projects, the modernisation of Uig Rural Fire Station and other projects.
(SFRS Board Minutes 29/8/2019. Capital Monitoring. 3.6.2)

March 2025 the lease of the Cal Mac shed is up soon and the unit will need to find new premises.
