The first station was in Bank Street, then in Paddockholm Road (the first purpose built retained station in South Western Area Fire Brigade) just to the west of the present station.
The Dedication Service for the present station was held on Tuesday, 19th of December, 1989 at 19-00 hours
Check the Barber's shop for more info (opposite funeral directors) and The Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald.
In the station in Dalry Road there were two TL's. GSD308 is now at a distillery on Islay (date?)
When the new call signs were being implemented in the WEST SDA over a 7 week period beginning 31/8/2020 doing 1 LSO Area per week, Kilbirnie was changed from R16 to G22.
