OPERATIONAL SUPPORT VEHICLE
In 2002 the Brigade purchased four Ford Ranger 4x4s with a crew cab and covered in stowage area which will be used for operational support. They have radios and warning devices and are mobilised on request. They are crewed using extra wholetime or retained personnel available within the command.
These vehicles will:-
1) Carry a crew of five in the cab.
2) Move equipment in the stowage area.
3) Traverse uneven and rough roads or tracks but not soft ground.
THEY ARE NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR ALL TERRAIN VEHICLES.
One vehicle has been allocated to each Command:-
