The Foam Salvage Tender carries foam compound, salvage sheets, absorbent and a water driven smoke extraction fan.

The Fire Fogging Unit is crewed by retained personnel.

Bo'ness was upgraded from retained to Wholetime/Retained when the new station was opened in 1981.
