There was an Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) station at Strathminglo at various times between 1956 and 1966.

After refurbishment the station was officially reopened by Councillor Andrew Keddie on 24th September 2001.

Auchtermuchy had a call sign of B2 in Fife Fire and Rescue Service, this was changed to N21, the new National Call Sign, when Thornton Control closed on 30/3/2016.

NEW FIRE STATION

On Monday night at a meeting of the Dean of Guild Court, plans were passed for Auchtermuchty’s new Fire Station, on conditions of entrance and exit being satisfactorily adjusted.
